Chatuchak Market also sells cute!

We all know that JAMES is the cutest but I had to share photos from a recent trip to Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok. This is one of the largest outdoor markets in the world with a large section dedicated to "Pets and Accessories." What is in this section but all sorts of cute, fuzzy things for sale including:

Puppies!

But also perhaps more amazingly is that you can buy a baby bunny already dressed in a cute little outfit. Bunnies! With Clothes!!

I am amazed at the cuteness.

James on the Lake

Every year Lake Monona freezes over and I take James out to run loose through the snow. Being a snow bunny, he just loves it. Here's some photos of Jamey doing his thing. Let's start out with James in the great white open!

More James!

Wednesday, October 03, 2007

Hey, what kind of dog is that?

We get that question a lot when out with James and his origin has always been a mystery. He seems to have some Shepard but maybe something else a little smaller? Alison always guessed terrier. So we were pretty excited to find out about the Canine Heritage DNA test that with a simple cheek swab would match your dogs DNA to 38 of the most popular breeds in North America. In August we sent off some cheek cells and we just got James' results back! And of course, the results were surprising!

Turns out James is not mostly ANYTHING. His DNA didn't return a primary or secondary major contributer to his DNA. Instead we only got hits in the following category:

"In the Mix – This final category identifies breeds that have the least amount of influence on your pet’s composition, however, they still appear, at a low and measurable amount, in your pet’s DNA."

So what was in James' mix?
Dachshund
Belgian Tervuren
Italian Greyhound
Miniature Pinscher

Crazy huh?

Well regardless, we still think James is the handsomest thing on the block. Right James?
